You cannot go wrong with a beautiful Scandinavian Dala Horse SVG for your holiday crafting–it’s so simple and this collection has three versions you’ll love!

Here at Ruffles and Rain Boots, I love sharing free SVG files with you. I’ve shared a lot of free Christmas SVG files already (click here to get all of our Christmas SVG files and projects), but I wanted to do something special.
As a thank you to all the Ruffles and Rain Boots newsletter subscribers, I am offering full-priced SVGs for free!
And if you know anything about me, you know that I love Scandinavian gnomes, tomte, nisse and whatever you want to call them. But one thing I definitely have had on my to-do list is to make a Scandinavian Dala Horse cut file for Cricut or Silhouette to add to my Scandinavian Christmas decor.
Good news for you, I made this fun horse cut file three different ways, so you can make just about anything with it!
If you’re ready to make a beautiful handmade Christmas craft with a Scandinavian horse, well, let’s get started!

Ways to Use This Free Daleclarian Horse SVG
- I absolutely adore the awesome Christmas pillow I made with one of my regular couch pillows, this Scandinavian dala horse SVG and a canvas pillow cover. When I get ready to switch it out for another design, maybe another Daleclarian horse SVG, I can just pull off this cover and slip on another!
Although we all know that you need a nice red and white raglan t-shirt to put this on, and a pillow, you need something else–there are three gnomes for goodness sake. - If you’re not sure what to put this beautiful Christmas horse cut file onto, you can always browse my favorite Cricut, Silhouette Cameo, and cutting project accessories I use and love. You’ll definitely find something awesome.
- After you have the free downloads, just open the SVG DXF EPS or PNG file type you’re going to use into Cameo Silhouette Studio or Cricut Design Space (depending on which of the cutting machines you have). Size the gnome to fit on the item you’re planning to put the design on, then follow the directions on your cutting machine.
- There’s no need to mirror your image with this, even if you’re using heat transfer vinyl (unless you choose to put some kind of lettering with it), but one thing that I strongly suggest you do is to attach the pieces in Design Space. That way you’re not worrying about trying to line everything up-it’s all just been cut that way for you!
I love sharing my designs and would very much appreciate it if you took the time to share this to Facebook or Pinterest.
