- This is a great project for kids to do on their own but there are parts that do need a bit of parental help with younger kids. Stay close if they need you.
- For very young Pokémon fans, use the printable as a coloring page. Or, just set it up for them to cut and affix the pieces together with a glue stick.

Felt Charmander Craft and Printable
xThis adorable felt Charmander craft is perfect for a Pokemon party activity, a rainy day, and even as party favors. Included is a free Charmander template and pattern to create a 3D Pokemon to be used as a felt board character, a puppet, or anything else little ones can think up. The supplies used in this Pokemon craft idea are felt, glue, paint, and scissors. The Charmander character template can even be sized up on a printer for a party decoration! Materials
- Orange, Red, Yellow, and Tan Felt
- Craft Paint (I used yellow, pink, peach, black, white, and green)
- Printable Charmander Template
Tools
- Printer
- Scissors
- Tacky Glue (Felt and Foam)
- Paintbrush
Instructions
- Print and cut out the template along the outer edges of each piece. From the paper, cut a body, face, two legs, a tummy, an arm, and two fire pieces.
- Trace the pieces onto the felt and cut each out. You will need TWO (2) pieces of each of the following: body, both fire sizes, and each of the legs.
- Use the paintbrush and craft paint to add details on the felt. You may need to paint two coats of the lighter colors.. Let the paint dry before putting together.
NOTE: if you are preparing this for a party, paint this and let them dry before the kids assemble. - Glue the two pieces of the body together and then glue the flames around the outsides of the tail.
NOTE: to make this into a Charmander puppet craft, add a craft stick between the body pieces. - Glue on the first leg as shown in the picture and have the belly on top.
- Glue on the face and then glue the second leg between the tail and the belly area.
- Turn over and glue the back arm on.
