What You Need
Always check your stash to see what would work, but we picked up everything at the dollar store. Yours might not have the wood stems and if not, just head out to your yard!
- jewelry box (a set of three in differing sizes)
- paint and paintbrush
- wood stems, corks, buttons, or tree branches
- ribbon, jute, and / or lace
- glue gun and glue sticks, scissors, and maybe a ruler (if you care to measure)
DIY Jewelry Box Pumpkins
Below you’ll find the step by step for these cute pumpkins. Keep this page open and follow along. If you’re going to host a craft night, you might want to print this page out.
First, paint the pumpkins in various shades of your choice. We used oranges, but some muted greens would be gorgeous. Let them dry.
Next, glue the top of the boxes to their corresponding bottoms so they don’t move around and add a stem of some kind to the center top of each box.
Glue the two smaller boxes together, side by side. Glue the large box to the back of them.
To hold them in place and add a cute detail, tie them up with some twine and add a bow (I used 6 inches of jute). You can see what we did, but find your crafting bliss.
Measure and cut 6 inch sections of ribbon, jute, lace, or whatever you’d like and tie them in a knot around the stem or glue them directly to it.
