How to Make Dollar Tree Scarecrow Gnome Paintbrush
Start by painting a base coat on the entire paint brush (except for the bristles part of the brush), and the jumbo craft stick with the light brown paint. Allow the first coat to dry, then apply a second coat of paint, if necessary.
Next you will apply a dry brush layer of medium brown acrylic craft paint over the light brown layer of paint in a cross-hatch pattern, which will resemble burlap. Allow to dry.
Measure the jumbo craft stick to 5 inches long and cut with scissors. Attach the jumbo craft stick to the bottom edge of the paint brush with a glue gun and glue sticks to create the hat brim for the scarecrow.
Note: for small kids, give them PVC glue (and tell them to run around and burn off some energy while it dries).
Attach the black gingham ribbon around the paint brush just above the hat brim using glue sticks and the glue gun. Make a bow using more ribbon and glue to the top of the paint brush. Use the scissors to trim the ends of the ribbon.
For the final steps, glue a wooden bead to the center of the scarecrow gnome’s beard using a glue gun and glue sticks. Then add some buttons and mini silk leaves to the scarecrow’s hat with hot glue.
