Foam Dice S’Mores Craft Video Tutorial
If you’re a visual learner, watch the easy, short Dollar Tree S’mores video tutorial. You can even show it to the little ones if they’re helping to make this fun, fall craft.

Materials Needed for This Craft
Below are the items I used to put this together. If you don’t have any brown felt, use brown paint instead – always check your craft stash to see if you have something that will substitute well.
- free S’Mores printable
- cardboard
- foam dice
- brown felt
- paint (white, pink)
- Googly eyes
- brown and black marker, pencil (or dotting tool)
If you’re doing this with little hands, be sure to operate the glue gun yourself or give them foam glue. If using foam glue, be sure to give the items time to set before moving on.
How to Make a Fun Dollar Tree S’Mores Craft
Below are the step by step instructions for this easy fall craft idea. Leave this page open and follow along or print the instructions (below).
Use the paintbrush and coat the foam dice with white paint. I had to use two coats to cover. Note: you can leave one side uncoated as I’ve done, but be sure to paint up over the edges.

With a ruler and marker, measure two squares at 3 inches by 3 inches onto a piece of cardboard and cut both out with scissors. You can also use the printable template as a guide if you don’t have a ruler.

Use the brown marker to outline the cardboard and add dots as shown on the printable. This doesn’t have to be exact and wiggly lines are okay. Be sure to decorate both sides of each of the pieces.
Trace the melted chocolate pattern onto the felt and cut it out with the scissors. Use hot glue to attach it to the upper edge of the painted foam dice.

Glue two Googly eyes to the front of the dice. Use the eraser of a pencil to create dots underneath the eyes and just outside of them, resembling cheeks. Use the black marker to create a smile, joining the cheeks.
Use hot glue to attach the unmarked sides of the cardboard to the top and bottom of the foam dice. Use these for camping play, fall festival crafts, or add them to a skewer and use as puppets.
