Tips When Making Cheddar Bacon Ranch Tortilla Roll ups
- You can easily make these pinwheels a few hours ahead of time so that they’re ready to enjoy when the family gets hungry.
- If you don’t have time to make and chill these (I often don’t), just pick up small picks like these. Place one every two inches apart and cut on either side of them. The pinwheels will stay together and everyone has a great time.
- To make these keto or low-carb friendly, use a low-carb tortilla wrap or a veggie wrap. Add green leaf lettuce to make it more of a grown up lunch.
- Plan a picnic and take these along. This easy lunch recipe is a great way to get outside and have a tasty, high-protein snack to fuel your trip.
- If you like a little spice, use the spicy jalapeño cream cheese mixture instead of regular.
- Have the kids help make these easy pinwheels and build up their confidence for learning how to create in the kitchen. Ask them to spread the cream cheese mixture – they will love it!

Bacon Ranch Pinwheels
This bacon ranch pinwheel recipe can be prepared in a few minutes and will be loved by all! To ensure the pinwheels keep their shape, let it chill or use small picks and serve immediately.
Ingredients
- 1 pound of cooked and cut up bacon
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 8 ounces of softened cream cheese
- 8 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 ounce package of dry ranch seasoning
Instructions
- Cut the bacon into small pieces and cook in a skillet over medium heat until cooked through. Put the bacon on a paper towel lined plate and blot any excess grease.
- Mix the cream cheese and ranch seasoning in a bowl.
- Lay out a tortilla and spread 1/4 of the cream cheese mixture on it, 2 ounces of cheese, and 1/4 of the bacon.
- Roll the tortilla up and place it on a baking sheet. Repeat for remaining tortillas.
- Place the rolled tortillas in the fridge for up to 2 hours and then cut into 2 inch sections. See notes to make and serve immediately. Serve with a side salad and ranch dressing dip.
Notes
- You may substitute pre-cooked bacon (prepare per package instructions).
- I used cheddar cheese but a Mexican blend tastes great, too.
- Add torn (not shredded) lettuce before rolling to add a healthy crunch.
- To prepare and serve immediately, place picks in each section of the roll before cutting. Serve with picks in place.
