S’mores Pinwheels
Here at Ruffles and Rain Boots, we love making fun recipes with the kiddo. As much as I joke about the whining, it’s not that bad – and it’s expected as, you know, they’re a kid. So, when I was asked for a s’mores snack, I couldn’t resist trying out an idea.

Quick and easy, this is one of those recipes that I feel like the kiddo could do on their own, without much help from me save the oven-work. Plus, this is one of my favorite flavors, so I was happy to snack a little myself. If you’re ready to make a yummy summer treat, let’s get started.

Tips to Make Pinwheel S’mores
- Definitely don’t bother trying to make your own dough. Just use pre-made puff pastry for a uniquely flaky and perfect texture. It’s like having one of those fancy donuts that aren’t donuts.
- You can use the bigger marshmallows, if you want, but take a minute to cut them into quarters or smaller sections. The marshmallows expand a lot when they’re baked and using the larger marshmallows intact will cause your pinwheels to warp out of shape.
- If you’re out of graham crackers, you can get a similar flavor by drizzling honey over your s’mores pinwheels. It’s not exactly the same, but it will be similar enough that you’ll still get that yummy pinwheel s’mores flavor you’ll love.
How Do I Make S’mores Pinwheels?
I’m so glad you asked. Below is our written tutorial.
S'mores Pinwheels
You're not going to find an easier way to make a fun treat for summer that's so perfect for snack time. These s'mores pinwheels are just too irresistible.
Ingredients
- 1 Roll Puff Pastry, defrosted
- 1 Egg
- 1 tbsp Water
- 2 cups Chocolate Chips
- 1 cup Mini Marshmallows
- 2-3 Graham Crackers
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Start making the s'mores pinwheels by crushing the graham crackers. I did this by placing them in a zipper-top bag and smashing them with a meat tenderizer. Once adequately smashed into crumbs, set aside.
- Make the egg wash by combining the egg and water.
- Lay the puff pastry sheet out on lined baking sheet, then lightly coat in the egg wash.
- Cover the puff pastry evenly in chocolate chips. Lightly press them in place.
- Cover the chocolate chips in an even layer of mini marshmallows. Lightly press them in place.
- Cover the marshmallows in an even coat of crushed graham crackers. Press this layer in place.
- Tightly roll the puff pastry onto itself, making a tightly-packed spiral.
- Starting at one end, slice the rolled puff pastry into 1/2-inch wide slices with an un-serrated knife.
- Place the slices onto a lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Lightly brush the tops of each pinwheel with the egg wash,
- Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before enjoying!
