Unicorn Mask DIY for Kids
Here at Ruffles and Rain Boots, I absolutely adore setting up unicorn ANYTHING. From unicorn toast to unicorn paper maché taxidermy (yep, that’s a thing), I will gladly foster my daughter’s love of this whimsical creature.
We’ve been crafting a LOT of unicorn stuff lately but this is one of my favorites because a) it is wicked easy with the free printable and b) you can set it up as a mask creation OR coloring station. Cool, right? Let’s get started.
Supplies for the Free Printable Unicorn Mask
You don’t really need much for this mask, friends. All the work has been done for you, so gather up:
- cardstock (white, if coloring or colored)
- crayons, markers, or colored pencils
- glitter (optional)
- glue
- mask holder:
- ribbon or yarn (and a hole punch)
- extra card stock (for a crown)
- paper straw
The unicorn mask is versatile – depending on the age of the kids, you can create a tie-on mask, a mask to be held (via a paper straw), or even a crown by using extra paper.

Printable Unicorn Mask – Coloring Page
Included in the printable download are two different crafts. The first is the unicorn mask coloring page. Let everyone color their very own unicorn mask!
Print the template off on white cardstock and supply everyone with crayons, markers, or colored pencils. As noted above, it’s your choice on how to affix the unicorn mask.
For the youngest kiddos, I recommend making a crown of extra cardstock paper. Older kids can benefit from the paper straw attached to the side (see image below).

If you’d like to create a mask from colored card stock, use the template pieces to cut out everything. Then, simply assemble the unicorn, cut out the eyes, attach the straw, and you’re done!
