Homemade Lollipops Recipe (2 Flavors!)

We made this homemade lollipops recipe in two yummy flavors: blueberry lollipops and strawberry lollipops. We felt these were fun flavors to use for our hard candy on a stick that reminds us of summer!

Because these lollipops are super easy to make and you can store them for a good while, they make the perfect make-ahead party favor or shower treat.

In a saucepan, add sugar, water, corn syrup, and cream of tartar.

Bring to a boil until temp reaches 260. Stir in the blueberry or strawberry flavoring and blue or pink color.

The older kids can help make this fun treat with adult supervision. This recipe is quick and easy and requires just a few simple ingredients like water, sugar, corn syrup, flavoring, and coloring. Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons water
  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/16 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • ½ vile of Blueberry or strawberry flavoring
  • 25 drops of blue or pink Watkins Food Coloring
  • 12 lollipop sticks and lollipop mold
  • Candy thermometer

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, add sugar, water, corn syrup, and cream of tartar. Mix.
  2. Place the candy thermometer in your saucepan. Bring all your ingredients to a boil, mixing often with a wire whisk. Continue to whisk until your candy thermometer reaches the temperature of 260°F.
  3. Add in blueberry or strawberry flavoring and blue or pink food coloring. Whisk until well combined.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat once the thermometer reaches 275°F. Add the lollipop sticks to the lollipop mold. Pour the ingredients from the saucepan and evenly distribute them into the cavities in the silicone molds. Make sure to pour over the sticks as well.
  5. Allow them to sit and cool to set up completely. Once cooled, pop out and enjoy store.
