Tips for Making Twix Cupcakes
- We used canned frosting for this recipe because it is easy to use and it will last up to 18 months on the shelf as long as it is unopened. If opened, it will last up to 4 weeks in the fridge.
- If you don’t have a chocolate cake mix on hand for this recipe, you can use a yellow or white cake mix and add cocoa powder to it. We suggest adding 1/4 cup of sifted cocoa powder per boxed cake mix.
- For added chocolatey goodness for this recipe, you can also add a handful of chocolate chips to the batter. Mmmmmmm.
- If you want to go over the top, drizzle some caramel sauce over the cupcakes after adding the Twix candy bar.
