If you love easy crafts and like to hoard supplies, you should have everything you need on hand for this easy DIY project. I used the following:
- a mini clay pot (2.5 inches from Dollar Tree)
- foam
- wire which holds its shape
- wood beads (Dollar Tree)

How to Make a Valentine’s Day Wood Bead Heart Topiary
Cut a small piece of foam to fit into the clay pot and friction-fit it inside the pot.
Thread the wire onto the wood bead strand (or thread beads onto wire) until you have about 10 inches threaded with beads. Leave about 2 inches on one end of the wire and 3 on the other end before cutting.
Bend the beaded wire in half and form a heart shape.
Twist the wires together at the bottom of the heart once.
Place the wired heart atop the dowel and wrap each end of the wire around the base (do not overlap). Press down the ends of the wire with scissors.
Cut the dowel to the size you would like for your display and mark the dowel where it is not covered by foam when placed into the pot.
Cover the dowel with ribbon and (optional) form a double bow for decoration. Glue ribbon and bow onto the dowel.
Glue the dowel into the foam and cover the top of the foam with moss.
