Orange Creamsicle Milkshake Recipe – Yum!
This orange creamsicle milkshake recipe is made with orange juice and is so simple to make and so delicious. We made it again today for the second time this month and I knew I had to share it with you.
It only has a few ingredients and comes together in a couple of minutes. The best part is that you can add everything in to a blender in a single step and be sipping in less than 10 minutes.

Orange Creamsicle Milkshake
Here at Ruffles and Rain Boots, it’s already so hot in Texas (so, so, so hot). And, not surprisingly, the little one was a bit grumpy after walking home from school in that heat.
After a quick look in this kitchen and a little help from the blender, we discovered this orange smoothie recipe is one of the best drinks you can make in less than 10 minutes. My little one asked if we could serve it at her end of school kid’s party, too. I say that makes it a winner.

Tips to Make this Orange Milkshake Recipe
- All ingredients should be cold. Even better, if you have the forethought to pop your blender’s glass parts and your drink glasses into the freezer about 10 minutes beforehand, you’ll be golden.
- If the final product isn’t sweet enough for your taste, you can add a half tablespoon of honey or other sweetener.
- To make this orange smoothie recipe a little more fun for the kids, you can add a slice of orange, a dollop of whipped cream and a fun straw. Just a little garnish like that makes all the difference to kids.
Alternative Ingredients and Add Ons for This Summer Drink
Some recipes use orange soda, orange sherbet, vanilla ice cream, or other orange flavors for the base. You are welcome to add them in place of the orange juice but it will affect the calorie count.
Additions like orange slices are perfect for anyone who likes a bit of substance to their milkshakes. To add them, dice the orange slices and them to the blender when everything has been combined. Fold them in by hand or add them to each individual glass.
My daughter also wants me to add: a dollop of whipped cream is a great topper. Sprinkles are optional.
