Here are Some Tips For Making Your Snowman Cupcakes
- If you don’t have the time to make your Christmas cupcake idea from scratch, use a boxed chocolate or devil’s food cake mix. You save time and don’t sacrifice flavor.
- I always have these edible markers, but if you don’t have them you can substitute mini chocolate chips for the eyes and mouth on your snowman.
- Save your money and get the store brand of marshmallows. They will work beautifully for this recipe.
- Speaking of marshmallows, get the large (but not jumbo) ones for this cupcake. If you get the jumbo marshmallows, it will cover most of the top of the cupcake.

Preheat oven to 350ÂşF and add cupcake liners to the pan (I like to double mine). Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
Mix in wet ingredients.
Fill each cupcake pan cavity 2/3 of the way full.
Bake for 25 minutes.
While the cupcakes are baking, beat together the butter and powdered sugar.
Add milk and vanilla to the frosting bowl and combine.
Frost the cupcakes.
Decorate the cupcakes by placing a marshmallow face on top of the frosting mound, two pretzel sticks on either side, and two M&Ms for buttons in the front.
Notes for Making Melted Snowman Cupcakes
- When mixing dry ingredients together, use a good metal whisk and not an electric mixer to avoid a big, dusty mess. A fork will work in a pinch, as well.
- It may seem silly to caution you on this, but do not use non-stick cooking spray on a non-stick pan. It will leave a yucky residue that is not easy to clean up.
- Refrain from tapping a cupcake pan that is filled with batter on a hard surface. This will get rid of the bubbles you want for fluffy cupcakes.
