Snowman Ornament Christmas Craft for Kids

Here at Ruffles and Rain Boots, we’re all for sharing fun, quick crafts. This is a fun dollar store craft the kids will love. My little girl thinks this would be perfect as a teacher Christmas gift idea. And I agree.

Supplies to Make a Fillable Snowman Ornament

Run to your local dollar store for all of these supplies – you’ll need to pick up a few ornaments because making these is addictive!

  • fillable ornaments
  • fake snow (little white beads)
  • miniature googly eyes
  • black and orange acrylic paint
  • glue
  • ribbon and ModPodge, optional

Snowman Ornament

This snowman ornament is the perfect decoration.

Materials

  • fillable ornaments
  • fake snow (little white beads)
  • miniature googly eyes
  • black and orange acrylic paint
  • glue
  • ribbon and ModPodge, optional

Instructions

  1. Remove the ornament lid and fill it with the fake snow. We used a piece of rolled paper as a funnel.
  2. Glue back on the top of the ornament.
  3. Paint on an orange triangle for a carrot nose and black dots for the coal mouth. You could also paint on the eyes, but we glued on some small googly eyes.
  4. If using, brush on a light layer of ModPodge to protect the acrylic paints. Tie a ribbon on and hang!
