How to Make This Fun DIY Grinch Ornament for Kids
This is one of those DIY Christmas crafts where you can decide how much time to spend on it. The painting of the chimney is the longest section and we like to see a bit of texture and grit there, but if you take your time, the lines can be made perfectly straight with a bit of tape.
If you’d like to add this craft to a Christmas playlist on YouTube, here is our DIY Grinch Ornament video tutorial.

Materials
- miniature terra cotta pot (small clay garden planter)
- large green craft pompom
- green pipe cleaner and scissors to cut it in half
Tools
- red and white acrylic paint and brushes

Instructions
- Paint the mini clay pot red. Set aside to dry.
- Pull apart the cotton ball and roll into a thin tube that is long enough to go around the top (short end) of the pot.

- Glue on the green pipe cleaner (cut in half) to resemble legs. Bend the end to form feet.
