Tips for Making a Butterbeer Frosting Board

  • For a quick cleanup, tape down a piece of parchment paper or cling wrap on the cutting board before spreading the frosting. Untape before serving.
  • We made our own owl cookies (See the link for the cookie cutter in the list of ingredients) for this recipe, but that is optional. You can also use vanilla wafers, animal crackers, and shortbread cookies, just to name a few!
  • If you don’t like chopping, you can skip that on the butterscotch chips step. Leave them whole for a different texture.

  • For a richer flavor, add in a teaspoon of real, not imitation, vanilla.
  • If you want to have a tangy flavor to your frosting board, add a bit of sour cream or cream cheese to your recipe.
