My First Christmas SVG Files
Here at Ruffles and Rain Boots, I love designing Christmas SVG files. No, seriously – if you go to the SVG shop (free and premium designs), you’ll know what I mean. I cannot stop myself and will design holiday sublimation in March, draw out Christmas bib SVG designs in August, and well, by October I have already been making holiday crafts for 3 months!
But today, I am gathering up some of my favorite “Baby’s First Christmas” SVG and sublimation designs for you. These are going to make quick work of any ‘my first Christmas’ crafts you have on the brain. Let’s get started.
Note: commercial use license means that you can complete finished goods with these files. You may never sell the original file or alter it and attempt to resell. Please read licenses as artists enforce them.

Tips to Making a Baby’s First Christmas Gift
- Texture is something to keep in mind when designing for wee ones. Flock HTV is great but it might not hold up to as many washings as a stretch HTV.
- When you’re using a heat press with these or any baby SVG designs (HTV or sublimation), use a pressing pillow to avoid getting the seams under the press.
- Sizing your designs smaller is usually a better idea than larger because of those adorable, rotund little baby bellies. ;)
- Get quality Gerber bodysuits (Onesies®). The materials are soft and take vinyl and sublimation ink well. I’ve also had good luck with the Rabbit Skin brand.
- Oh, and be sure to check the material and percentage of content before ordering for sublimation… I’ve made that mistake so many times.
Best My First Christmas SVG Designs
The joy of a little one is only enhanced by the absolute adorableness of getting to craft for them. Below are my top picks for the best Baby's First Christmas SVG designs for bodysuits, hats, bibs, burp cloths, and holiday ornaments.
This baby's first Christmas SVG design comes with extras like the Santa hat SVG, easy to weed candy cane SVG (trust me, I hate weeding), and even a cute little heart punctuation mark to really seal it home. This is perfect for new Cricut or Silhouette users who want to work with HTV or flock vinyl
I had this in my head since my daughter was born but never made it... until now! You can have a funny bodysuit made up in just minutes for an adorable photo opportunity!
Isn't this the sweetest little design? You can get the reindeer SVG files AND the My First Christmas sublimation design all in one set. This is perfect for print then cut projects if you aren't doing sublimation.
I think this is the sweetest, most gentle Baby's First Christmas design. If you're new to working with vinyl, use the registration box method (a small shape off to the side of the design) to line everything up perfectly after you cut it with your Cricut or Silhouette machine.
This My First Christmas set cracked me up and includes a sample of some light-hearted, funny first Christmas designs.
The stitching on this gingerbread baby's first Christmas design just steals my heart! This holiday design has a fun, playful font to draw the eye, as well.
Have you heard the term, "rainbow baby?" I think if someone is overjoyed to have used the term, this first Christmas SVG in a rainbow design is going to be perfect.
This baby's First Christmas sublimation design from The Crafty Corner is so much fun! I just love the hand drawn accents.
Oh, this is a perfect first Christmas keepsake and SO easy to make with your Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine. Get permanent vinyl, a wood (or ceramic) pre-made ornament, and stick it on.
If you want to get a complete set and make the most adorable first Christmas tree or sell ornaments at a craft fair, do not skip this bundle. The hand lettered designs and drawn laurel accents will make for an elegant offering.
