Monster Floam Recipe Supplies

This is such a fun and easy sensory toy to put together, it really is. You likely have everything on hand!

  • 3 cups shaving cream (not gel)
  • 1 cup white school glue
  • 3-4 tablespoons contact solution (must contain sodium borate)
  • 2-3 drops of food coloring, soap colorant, or acrylic paint
  • 1 cup small foam beads

How To Make Monster Floam

If you (or the kids) are familiar with making slime, this monster floam recipe is no big deal. You’ll have a great floam recipe squishing between your fingers in just minutes.

Monster Floam Recipe for Sensory Play

Materials

  • 3 cups shaving cream (not gel)
  • 1 cup white school glue
  • 3-4 tablespoons contact solution (must contain sodium borate)
  • 2-3 drops of food coloring, soap colorant, or acrylic paint
  • 1 cup small foam beads
  • round monster label printable (get it below)

Tools

  • bowl
  • spoon

Instructions

  1. In a craft bowl, mix the shaving cream and glue together.
  2. Add in the contact solution and coloring and mix until incorporated.
  3. Stir in the foam balls until well-blended.
  4. Once the mass has formed, remove it from the bowl and knead it with your hands.
  5. Store your monster floam in an airtight container.
