What a Pair!

Elise took a nap! Longer than 49 minutes!

Shocking, yes.
Well, what is an over-tired Mommy to do when she doesn’t want to start another bachelorette party craft for her little sister or get an early start on dinner?
Make a pair of earrings, of course!

My sister left her jewelry-making kit over here months ago and to be honest, I had forgotten about it. I saw it sitting there today and couldn’t resist. I just knew I could craft myself a simple pair of passable earrings quickly.
Hmm… I’m not going to lie: I have forgotten everything little sister taught me about making jewelry. I only have so much room in this brain box and I need it for important stuff, like where the cliff-hanger left us in the last season of Dr. Who. I mean, come on – a nerd girl has to have her priorities straight.
I set out my – erm, her – supplies.

I did remember that there were stages and each stage had to have a different long, skinny post-like-thing to hang from.
First – and easiest – step: done.

Next stage is to add an accent bead on the post: done.

I’m thinking to myself that at this rate I will need to actually get that jump start on dinner because I’m going to be done in no time!
I will say this: crafting an earring isn’t hard. It is crafting a MATCHING earring that will result in such mounted frustration that you want to crush that first earring as if you were Godzilla on a rampage!!
After a slew of swear words said in a butterfly’s whisper and a good bit – read metric-f**k-ton of re-fashioning that stupid little, long, skinny post, I finally gave up… Settled on… I  finished it! Woo-hoo!

Besides, no one will be looking that closely.
Have a wonderful day!
