And when I decided I needed watermelon bath bombs in my life, well, there was nothing stopping me.

Tips to Make Watermelon Scented Bath Bombs
- I was inspired to make my watermelon bath bombs by these adorable watermelon sprinkles here. They’re so fun and simple, but they really make this embed bath bomb pop!
- You should definitely also grab this ahhhh-wesome flavor oil here to make your watermelon scented bath bombs. Super worth it, considering it only takes a couple of drops and you can use this to also make things like watermelon cupcakes. Just sayin’.
- Add into your planning to have your bath bombs on the counter drying for about 24 hours before using them, just so it will amp up the fizz. As a bonus, by letting these watermelon bath bombs dry for a full day, if there was a bit too much liquid in the mixture, you’ll still get peak fizz.
- After they’ve dried for that initial 24 hours, I recommend you keep these Lush-inspired bath bombs in an air-tight container to help them last longer with the most fizz. This is key to pass-on too if you plan to gift these to someone, just in case they don’t know.
- As with any recipe, it’s up to you how much fragrance or color to include in your watermelon bath bombs-–they’re your bath bombs. But I strongly recommend that you never (and I mean never) use food coloring. If you do, the bathtub and quite possibly your skin, will be your bath bomb’s color. So, even though finding soap colorant or mica powders is an extra step–it’s worth it.
- These watermelon sprinkles bath bombs are essentially just essential oils, citric acid, baking soda, and a bit of water (and some other stuff but that’s basically it), just like all of my bath bombs. So, if you have any trouble getting your bath bombs to hold shape, they’re probably not wet enough–the recipe is intended to be a bit dry. Just add a little spritz of water and try again. How Do I Make this Watermelon Bath Bombs?

Watermelon Bath Bombs
If you're looking for a fantastically yummy smelling bath bomb recipe, this watermelon bath bomb recipe is so awesome and it looks so awesome, too!
Materials
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup epsom salts
- 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
- 2-3 drops watermelon flavoring oil
- 2 tsp rubbing alcohol
- 3/4 tsp green mica powder
- 3/4 tsp pink mica powder
- 2-4 tablespoons watermelon sprinkles blend
For the Watermelon Seeds
- 1/4 tsp black mica powder
- 2-3 drops alcohol

- 4-5 large bath bomb molds
- Bowls
- Whisk
Instructions
- Whisk together the dry ingredients: baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch and epsom salts.
- In a second bowl, mix together the wet ingredients: melted coconut oil, essential oil blend and alcohol together.
- Separate a third of the dry bath bomb mixture into a second bowl. To this bowl of bath bomb mixture, add in the green mica powder and mix well. If you want more color, add additional mica powder in 1 tsp increments.
- To the larger portion of bath bomb mixture, add in the pink mica powder and whisk together well. If you want more color, add additional mica powder in 1 tsp increments.
- Add 1/3 of the liquid ingredients 1 tsp at a time to the smaller bowl of dry ingredients, mixing it slowly so as not to start the reaction. Then repeat with the remaining 2/3 of the liquid ingredients, mixing them into the second, larger bowl of dry ingredients.
- Dust the inside of one side of a bath bomb mold with cornstarch. The sprinkle side will easily come out on its own, so I don't bother dusting that side.
- Place about 1 tsp of watermelon sprinkles in the bottom of the non-dusted side of the bath bomb mold.
- Immediately fill the sprinkle side bath bomb mold with the pink mixture, heaping it full. Make sure there is ample excess mixture to help join the two sides of the mold together.
- To the cornstarch dusted side of the bath bomb mold, fill it about halfway full of the green bath bomb mixture, then fill it the remaining way with the pink mixture, heaping it up as you did to the other half of the bath bomb.
- Press the two sides of the bath bomb mold together, grinding and pressing them to force the sides together.
- Allow them to rest in your bath bomb molds for about 24 hours before gently tapping each side of the molds to release them.
- To add the watermelon seeds, combine the black mica powder with the alcohol, then, with a paintbrush, paint on the black seeds randomly on the body of the bath bomb.
- Use your bath bombs immediately or store in an airtight container until you’re ready to use!
