We have found a winner right here in Georgetown!
The Georgetown Play Field was redone and in addition to a huge, bouncy-ground soccer field, play structures, swings, and slides, they installed a water feature that kids of all ages can enjoy! It’s not too big, not too aggressive with the sprays and is not (yet) too busy.
Danger just watched it for a few minutes and was kind of confused at the water coming up from the ground.
She tentatively put her hands into the most gentle stream of water coming from the young toddler ball.
Soon however, she was “over” it and began checking out the other young toddler sprays.
Next, she took off running to explore the bigger sprays!
She was afraid of the really tall sprays at first, but stood under them eventually. She giggled a lot at this one.
When the water stopped, she ran back to the toddler ball and wanted more!!
We then had to swing in the sun to dry off a bit because Mommy wasn’t prepared to find a water park at the play field. Armed with sunscreen and an adventurous attitude however, Danger and I had a blast! We will definitely be back here this summer.
I think we should all run through the sprinklers once in a while. It sure does put a smile on your face that lasts all day!
Have a great day!
