This Pokemon Eggs Craft Makes for an Amazing Easter

I’m so excited for this Easter because my kids are going to be finding more than just treats when they get a hold of these Pokemon eggs the Easter bunny hides.

Pokemon Eggs

Here at Ruffles and Rain Boots, we have so much fun doing the egg hunt. But what’s more fun than hunting eggs is hunting Pokemon! My girl is obsessed with Pokemon and I made these Pokeball cupcakes because of it. Then, of course, I followed up with some fun Pokemon ball cheese snacks

The best surprise is going to be these Pokemon eggs and the kids finding them during our egg hunt. Gotta catch ’em all, right?! Let’s get started.

Tips to Make this Pokemon Craft for Kids

  • Don’t be afraid to get creative and make a Bulbasaur or a Squirtle. Let these Pokemon eggs be the inspiration for a whole set!
  • Use real eggs or plastic ones so they last a lot longer. I like using the plastic ones because they are going to be handled a lot.

Make these Pokemon eggs for Easter. Let them hunt eggs while hunting their favorite Pokemon characters. Let's make these fun friends.

Active Time 15 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Difficulty Easy

Materials

  • 4 Eggs (we recommend reusable eggs)
  • Colored craft papers
  • Cardstock paper
  • Acrylic paint

Tools

  • Paint brush
  • Sharpie
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue

Instructions

  1. Cut out a few 3/4 inch wide card stock strips (length should be enough to form a ring to place the egg properly). Form a ring with the strip and join the open ends to secure the ring shape. Make a ring for each Pokemon egg character.
  2. Select colored craft papers for Pikachu, Jigglypuff and Charmander. Tails and ears are easy to draw on the selected craft papers. Cut them out using scissors.
  3. Prepare the paper cut out patterns. Attach the yellow flame cut out on the flame part of Charmander’s tail cut out. Trace and fill triangles inside Jigglypuff’s ears using black sharpie. Use black sharpie to fill the tip of Pikachu’s ears.
  4. Grab an egg and apply yellow paint on the egg and let the paint dry entirely. While this one dries, paint the other eggs for the other characters (pink for Jigglypuff and orange for Charmander).
  5. Now, it's time to finish Pikachu. Use a pencil to draw the eyes and other features of Pikachu on the yellow painted egg. pikachu craft pokemon eggs for easter on a blue background with text which reads diy pikachu egg in minutes make an entire set of pokemon
  6. Now use sharpie and trace along the pencil lines.
  7. Grab the paper cut outs prepared for Pikachu. Glue the ears and the tail of Pikachu on the Pikachu egg. Allow the glue to dry and then place the egg on the card stock ring prepared in step one.
  8. Draw Charmander's eyes on paper with a pencil. Cut out his eye shapes from and then paint. Stick the prepared eyes on the egg painted for Charmander.
