I used to love peaches and cream EVERYTHING and these DIY Lush-inspired peaches and cream bath bombs take me back and bring all the fizzy awesomeness with them!

Here at Ruffles and Rain Boots, we are in some serious need of self care lately. Something about the kid not being at school, the weather being nutty and nothing (I MEAN NOTHING) being open that we can go do. If self care is for wusses, I am self-labeling as a wuss post-haste. And I decided to start with a throwback of one of my favorite fragrances turned into a bath bomb: peaches and cream. Now for an episode of Jem while I relax until I’m wrinkly.

Tips to Make PEach Bath Bombs
- These peaches and cream bath bombs are so simple–and smell just like 1984’s favorite fragrance. And despite how hard they might look with those cute layers–they’re not. Just go through the easy directions below and get ready to fizz!
- I always recommend letting your DIY bath bombs dry for at least 24 hours so you get the most fizzy for your bath time enjoyment. Plus, by letting them dry for that long, if the mixture got a little wetter than absolutely necessary, that will get your fizz going again.
- To make sure your Lush-inspired bath bombs remain at top-fizziness, always store them in an air-tight container. Even, if you’re gifting them to a friend or neighbor, keep them in that airtight container they get the best fizzies.
- There is an ingredient which is optional, Polysorbate 80. The purpose of this emulsifier is to limit the oils and butters from pooling at the top of the water, as well as to reduce mica from adhering to the walls of the tub.
- As with any DIY project, put as much fragrance or colorant into your peaches and cream bath bombs as you’d like–they’re your bath bombs. But please never use food coloring–that’s a guaranteed way to color your skin and the bathtub, requiring all sorts of scrubbing and frustration. So, for the love of staying the color you were when you hopped in the tub, stick with soap colorant or mica powders.
- This peach bath bomb is made of essential oil, citric acid, polysorbate 80, and a little bit of water (with some other ingredients), all mixed together in a large bowl. That’s seriously all there is to it. So, if you’re having trouble getting one to hold it’s shape, its likely because it’s not wet enough. Add a little water and try again. How Do I Make Peaches and Cream Bath Bombs?

Peaches and Cream Bath Bombs
I just want to spend a whole day lazing in the bath with these fun peaches and cream bath bombs. So fun, such a great fragrance and definitely one of my favorite ways to get in some self-care.
Materials
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup bentonite clay
- 3 tablespoons solid coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon polysorbate 80, optional
- Peaches and Cream scent
- Peach or orange mica powder
Tools
- Spray bottle filled with rubbing alcohol
- 1 large mixing bowl
- Food processor
- Bath bomb molds or silicone molds
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, and the bentonite clay and whisk together.
- Add coconut oil, polysorbate 80 and peaches and cream scent and mix the ingredients together. I use my hands to make sure I break down any lumps.
- Separate the mixture into two bowls, evenly. Add orange mica to one bowl and mix well.
- Fill the individual sides of a bath bomb mold with the mixture, alternating the white and peach colors. Press the two sides together, relying on a twisting/grinding motion to squash the mixture together before gently tapping the mold and removing the bomb.
- Allow your bath bombs to sit overnight to harden, then store in an airtight container until it's time to fizz!
