October Scopers on Periscope

Are you on Periscope? I have a great bit of fun for you. If you’re not on, come over to the dark side. It’s live-streaming and so much fun – you’ll understand why the stats are out of this world! More importantly, let me tell you why you should join the October Scopers on Periscope!

October Scopers Scope a Day Challenge

If you already know of Periscope, join us for an amazing month of getting to know others. Each day, you’ll post a brief scope about the topic listed here for the corresponding day. Don’t worry if you don’t scope the topic but choose your own or if you don’t scope everyday – this is a no pressure situation!

Go ahead and Pin the image above or share it to your Facebook feed to spread the word (and remind you of the challenge)! It’s a great way to make friends, get new followers, and put eyes on whatever you’d like to highlight – people from all over the world are on Periscope!

Let’s Connect on Periscope (Live Crafting with Q&A)

If you don’t want to get an account but still want to see the live broadcasts (anytime of day, any day of the week – at your leisure), you can connect with me by watching on Katch here. If you do want to connect and join in to the conversation, my Periscope handle is @rufflesandrain – just like Twitter and Instagram.

If you have any questions about this platform, I will walk you through it! Be sure to sign up for my newsletter and stay in touch – the email goes both ways, so ask any questions you’d like.

October Scopers on Periscope: The How-To

There are no hard and fast rules of the October Scopers on Periscope Challenge. The only “should do” for this event is to put #OctoberScopers somewhere in your title so that other scopers can find you, support you, and give you hearts! When you see the #OctoberScopers hashtag:

  1. follow the scoper
  2. share their scope (your choice of platform), interact through comments, and give tons of hearts
  3. if you catch a replay, tweet it out, and give those hearts!

If you haven’t heard of Periscope and have no idea what October Scopers on Periscope is about, it’s okay. The lowdown: Periscope is a live-streaming app, available on mobile devices (including iPads) and is available for viewing on computers. Basically, you follow or find people in the areas you want and it’s like you’re having a conversation with them! You don’t have to give any personal information, so it can be an anonymous conversation if you’re shy.

Whether you have a business, a blog, or just want to learn more about something, you’re going to love it. But…

Another Social Media Platform?

But why add another social media platform to your already overflowing plate? If you feel like you’re struggling to manage all the others, just look at this. No long, drawn-out spiel is needed; just a picture.

Seven days, one MILLION user. WOW!

Live-streaming is so much fun but is something already embraced by news agencies, content marketing and creation agencies, and even bloggers. Go ahead and pin, tweet, or share this to Facebook to remind yourself and to get others involved! I’ve met so many amazing people through this from all around the world and it’s just too much fun not to share!
