This Letter to Santa free printable for 2017 is a great way to add magic to your child’s holiday season. Included are instructions to mail it to Santa and receive a letter back!
We would sit at the dining room table with our pieces of construction paper, and we would write our letters to Santa. Taking care not to show the siblings (there’s no cheating when it comes to Santa), I don’t recall if it was legible at all. I do, however, remember being very excited when we mailed them.
Whether we dropped it off at a department store or mailed it to the North Pole, I remember bouncing with delight when it left my fingers.
I want my daughter to have that little bit of magic in her holidays until she’s too old (or cool) to do it any longer.

How to Mail a Letter to and Receive One from Santa
If you would like to mail a letter to Santa (and have your child receive a letter from Santa), here are the post office’s instructions:
- Have your child compose their letter to Santa.
- Read the letter and write Santa’s response on the back of your child’s letter (or compose another). You can even get creative with fun graphics from PicMonkey or a wax seal.
- Place the child’s letter and the letter from Santa into an envelope addressed to your child with a First-Class Mail stamp. Add “Santa, North Pole” to the return address section of the envelope.
- Place the envelope with the First-Class mail stamp into another envelope with proper postage and address it to: North Pole Postmark Postmaster
4141 Postmark Dr
Anchorage, AK 99530-9998
All letters must be received by mid-December. The postmaster will open your envelope, remove your child’s letter, postmark it, and mail it to your child.
