Tips for Making These Fun Rustic Snowman Ornaments

  • These snowman ornaments using the Dollar Tree wood tumbling tower blocks. If you can find the original Jenga block game pieces, they will be a bit larger but will work great.
  • Everyone’s favorite craft store has rustic burlap ribbon and a various assortment of satin ribbons, so be sure to dig in the floral section to find a scarf ribbon you love.
  • You can use Model Magic (now available at the Dollar Tree) to make a snowman carrot nose – how cute would that be painted orange?!
  • The kids are really going to love these, so consider using them as package tie decorations for Christmas gifts, as well.

Rustic Snowman Ornaments with Tumbling Tower Blocks

This easy Dollar Tree Christmas craft comes together in just minutes. Make these rustic snowman ornaments using the wood tumbling tower blocks and a few basic craft supplies.

Materials

  • Tumbling Tower Block (1 per snowman)
  • 6 inch length of ÂĽ inch red ribbon
  • 5 inch length of twine
  • 3.5 inch length of 2.5 inch wide burlap ribbon
  • Small buttons (I used 1 red, 2 brown/tan)

Tools

  • White Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Black and orange markers

Instructions

    1. Paint the wood tumbling tower block white (front, back, sides, and bottom).
    2. Cut the burlap and, starting at the back with a dollop of glue, attach it to the unpainted end (top) of the wood block.
    3. Cut twine and tie it around the burlap about halfway up and cover the center with the small red button (or other decoration).
    4. Cut a portion of the red ribbon for a scarf and attach it with a dollop of glue in the back of the wood block about halfway down the remaining block.
