Tips to Make Triangle Shelf Gnome
- I grabbed all of my supplies for this cutie gnome at the Dollar Tree. But if your Dollar Tree is anything like mine, some items aren’t in stock consistently. So, I’ve come up with a list of Dollar Tree gnome beard materials you can use:
- Mop (just like what I used for this gnome)
- Duster
- Fluffy Pillows
- Microfiber Cloth
- Terrycloth Towel
- Doll Hair
- Curling Ribbon
- If you just don’t have a Dollar Tree, you can recreate this gnome using materials found at Dollar General, 99-cent Store or Family Dollar. I can’t imagine a dollar store that doesn’t have some materials that you can use to make this gnome or something very similar.
How Do I Make this Dollar Tree Gnome from a Triangle Shelf?
I’m so glad you asked. Below is our written tutorial.
Dollar Tree Gnome from a Triangle Shelf
I love how quickly this easy Dollar Tree gnome from a triangle shelf came together! With just a few simple supplies, it's done!
Materials
- Craft Felt
- Mop Head
- Wooden Triangle Shelf
- Fuzzy Sock
- Twine
- Red Faux Berry
Tools
- Scissors
- Glue gun
- Glue sticks
Instructions
- Cut a 12 inch wide piece of felt and wrap it around the front of the triangle, wrapping the sides around and gluing it in place. The entire triangle does not have to be covered. I left the top ¼ of the triangle uncovered so as to completely cover the bottom.
- Cut the plastic head off the mop and begin gluing the strands in layers, overlapping, to make a full beard completely covering the felt fabric.
- Glue the faux red berry to the beard, about where you want the hat to end.
- Place the fuzzy sock on top of the wooden triangle, fitting it down to the nose. Tack the sock down in several locations.
- Cut a 8-inch piece of twine and use this to tie the sock together at the toe to make a sort of pom pom.
