Second blog post today because I couldn’t figure out how to upload a picture… Um yeah, it’s kind of easy once you push the “Add Picture to your blog” icon. I’m such a novice.

The Dress:
It only took an hour and a half (and 50 hours of searching on the Internet and rifling through bridal magazines) to decide on my dress. It’s simple and I love it. This picture is just trying it on off the rack – it isn’t fitted at all at this point. We’ve ordered mine and I go for my first fitting at the end of March.
It’s going to have a couple of minor alterations, not only for fit but also for style and function. As is customary, it will get a French bustle for ease-of-use and because of the pick-up skirt bottom, it will blend very well. Also, I am ripping out the button back and putting in a ribbon corset, mostly because I love the look of it.

I’m not really a bargain shopper, but thankfully my sister has the luck of running into deals. This dress was way under my budgeted amount and it was on SALE!

The Shoes:
I also think I’ve finally decided on the shoes – can you imagine how many hours of Google-image searching that took? As Becky told the bridal consultant, Nicole, “She is very particular about her shoes.” Well, duh.

The best part is that they were on SALE! They were only $49.95 at DSW and because I live in Oregon there was no sales tax. Couple that with free shipping, these were a steal!
The brand is Caparros and the name of the shoe is Carnation. I’m including this information because it just irked me when I would find something I liked and then couldn’t search for it!
