Holiday Printables: Cookies for Santa and Reindeer Snacks Table Tents

I whipped these up and thought I’d share them here in case anyone needs to plan their “Santa Setup” for the big night. We haven’t yet decided what cookies we’re making for the Christmas crew, but I’m sure Santa will find them easily with a little sign to help guide his way. Click through for two printables: “Cookies for Santa” and “Reindeer Snacks.”

Do you set cookies out for Santa in your house? Homemade or store bought?

I am going to give Elise a couple of choices and we’ll bake cookies the day before Christmas Eve – on the eve of Christmas Eve, if that makes sense. She absolutely loves being in the kitchen, and I’m more than happy to have the help. She is in charge of all measuring cups and spoons and she takes that job seriously – sometimes I have to negotiate to the get the teaspoon back. For some reason, she’s really taken to it.

Although we haven’t decided on the cookies, Elise has already decided on a snack to give Santa’s reindeer: “oatmeal and glitter and kisses.” Is that “awww” inducing, or what? Talk about melt your heart! She’s a big fan of oatmeal, as you can see here:

My Child Don't Use this Picture for Anything

When I asked her about her reindeer snack, she said that flying reindeer must be able to fly because of magic and love. She said that the glitter is magic (right?) and the kisses are the love.

We will be sharing our yet-to-be-decided homemade cookies this year with our friends and family on Christmas Eve. Our family, my sister’s extended family, and some friends are getting together for a big dinner so that we can spend Christmas day with our immediate family units.

Family units – seriously, sometimes I am such a nerd. What do you call your immediate family? Mom, Dad, kid, and dog – that’s who will be at our house on Christmas day. Everyone else gets the month of December and Christmas Eve, but our family has an indefinite moratorium on spending Christmas day with anyone else. What about you? Do you gather with the extended family on Christmas day or keep it to yourselves?

Either way you spend Christmas day, these two holiday printables are ready for your Santa Setup. Print these out on white card stock, bend in the middle and voilĂ  – you have a table tent. If you don’t have any card stock on hand, print them out and glue them to a table tent you make from light weight cardboard (like a cereal box). I have made them “.PNG” files, so you can alter their size easily without losing detail (to alter the size, put them into any program – Word, PowerPoint, PicMonkey – and adjust them as desired).

  1. These are so cute! My kids always put out cookies for Santa (of course) and oatmeal mixed with glitter for the reindeer. It snows here and the glitter helps the Reindeer’s see it. We spend Christmas eve with my Step Mom’s family, my Dad and Step Mom come over late morning to see the kids. And the Christmas dinner is at my husbands families house. I enjoy the day with family. Part of me would love to banish the day for just us and be lazy all day. But the kids enjoy Grandparents and cousins so much. I think I would be banished from Christmas if I said no cousins on Christmas! Have a wonderful Christmas!

    1. We can’t have anyone being banished from Christmas! ;) Part of me really wishes we would get to spend more time with my parents, but they retired to Panama so we don’t get together for the holidays. Skype just isn’t the same, but we use it to at least ‘see’ them. Thanks for stopping by today!
